This is a summary of what has happened for the past six months of 2011. And also a chance to pen down short term and long term goals for future reference.
I'm going back to school! A decision made long ago, without any action taken until recently in the first quarter of this year. The reason some might ask, for money, for knowledge or for recognition? A mixture of all i guess. Money for a better future, knowledge for life long learning and a degree to prove to others as well as myself that anything is achievable when i put my mind into it. I believe pure determination and desire to win can ensure success for an extremely tough and grueling journey ahead. So why am i back to blogging again after so many months, or years. Shear boredom that is~ Why not exercise my brain cells a little rather than let it stay stagnant. Writing put thoughts into words, and this has been one major obstacle i face most of the time. Occasionally at work i find difficulty in organizing my thoughts and presenting it in a clear and concise format. Often finding myself facing a messed up email with jumbled ideas all around, it would always take ages for me to finally come out with an email that flows smoothly. I hope through blogging this would improve and would significantly help a lot for my future studies.
New hobbies are also picked up recently, reading and jogging. Reading can really be considered accidental, friends who know me would know i'm not much of a reader. But this book i chanced upon really brought reading to a whole new level for me, that is "You already know how to be great" by Alan Fine. A great book i would recommend for those who seek for self improvement. Jogging has also always been an on off hobby for me, but the Nike plus app has really kept this hobby with me for about 6 weeks now. My workout now consist of jogging home from work 2 times per week, and 2 other runs around my area.
I have also come to realize that driving is an essential skill required and have started having manual driving lessons sometime in the second quarter of the year, i'm currently taking private lessons, which is way cheaper than what BBDC is offering. An added advantage is that i'm holding a military class 3 license which really helped me breezed through the first few lessons of driving, skipping the need to pick up driving from scratch.
This half of the year really brought some positive changes to my life, overall i'm feeling more refreshed and i have now developed an desire to learn. So its time to list some of the goals i have to keep check by the end of the year.
Short term goals
1) To maintain a minimum of 3 workouts a week for a healthy lifestyle.
2) To obtain a driving license before year 2011
Long term goals
1) To obtain a Bsc in Business before i am 30 years olf, with a GPA of 4.0 or above.

Dear all, i'm back to blogging after disappearing for one and a half years~ Haha!
For all those lucky people who are reading, take note of the lucky 4 digit number that will appear, 2303 (If some are still wondering, that number is the date today). I do not know why i have that sudden urge to post again, but i am sure the number of reader(s) for this entry will not hit double digits.
Just a short update on what i have been doing for the past 18 months after ORD, i found a job in Tuas right after army and i'm currently still working in this company. I wonder what mysterious force has kept me surviving here, especially when i see colleagues leaving one by one. This is definitely more of a push than a pull factor, but these push factors doesn't seem to deter me away, at least not in the near future (Validity of this is only for one week, mood fluctuates easily). Day by day i slogged hard in this small cubicle area in the office, sometimes losing track of time, not remembering whether the day is the start or end of the week. I do not deny that i am learning a lot when i am working here, realizing that you will only remember something if you learnt it that hard way (BANG! Right into a wall again). I guess this is what you call experience, be it by the easy or hard way. Google has also become my 'best friend' during work, it has been the first i will turn to whenever i needed help, be it meanings of words or any terms and condition that i need to come up with, unless of course my internet is down. Beware~ wrong words can kill you in work, it takes just one single wrong word for you to be banished into condemnation, lucky for me i have acquired a new skill and knowledge, and that is to understand silence is gold. Its better to keep quiet than to say the wrong things, especially at a very wrong time in front of the wrong people. Some of you out there might beg to differ on this thought, but this is perfectly natural since the world is a combination of different people with a different mindset, in which some theories might be exactly opposite.
Enough of WORK, its time for PLAY! I have also gotten myself a console game. Proudly presenting my Nintendo Wii~ The truth is that i have been glued to my Wii for the past few weeks even since i bought it. I know excessive gaming is not good for me, and i will try to have rest in between intervals of gaming. This is all but a craze that will die off once i get tired of the games *crosses finger*.
Basically I can say that the past one and a half year was acceptably smooth, except for a few bumps here and there which i believe is part and parcel of life. The best thing that i have is for my dear to be always by my side, supporting me in a lot of decisions that i have made. I will also support you in whatever decisions you might have too, and to crack my brain to give you the best advices i can come up with. Keeping in mind that communication is the key to keeping the relationship moving in the right direction, there is still room for improvement but we are doing great at the moment dear, lets keep it up =)
And this marks the end of my entry, and who knows when my next urge to blog will come.
Cheers~
Wei Chien

Who would have imagined the next time i blogged would be so near the day that never seem to come. ORD LO!! Actually to be exact its still a few days short to the OH SO HOLY day which is anticipated since every recruit got their head shaved. Hehe~
Enlistment day seems like yesterday. I still remembered the Ba Kut Teh i had right before enlistment, the exact attire i wore, how i foolishly surrended my pink IC to the counter without taking a second look at it and how lost i felt in such an unfamiliar place. The first night seemed forever, the seconds to day break just seems to drag so slowly. Not forgetting how our Sergeant 'Pang Sei' us for breakfast because he overslept. How worried he looked when he met up with us in the canteen, i understand how you feel, the stress of EXTRA DUTIES if anyone is to find out about it. Wahaha!
Army just brought lots of unforgettable memories to me. How mistakes turned out to be the most hilarious jokes ever and how i found buddies from different worlds. It also tested the limits i never thought i would have reached. STUPID BIANG!! I could just go on and on with the so many army experiences i had but i figured i wouldn't want to bore my readers. Hehe~
Most importantly i want to thank those who stretched out their helping hand to me when i needed in my lowest mood. The words of encouragement that helped me take an extra step and how every joke will cheer me up so that all my troubles will just fade away. THANK YOU!! =)

Time. Its weird for me, either i am really rushing till wee hours in the night or there is practically nothing to do for the whole day. Its always the case since i enlisted 18mths ago. Some may see it as a short 18mths, but for many of us who have shaved our head to near bald for the nation during our first 3mths, we know its really a torturous and grueling journey throughout our whole army life. Although the journey is forever enriching with the many weird and wacky stories the experienced will tell.
Back to the topic, the past week changed me, making me find out that there is this tiny bit in me that actually enjoy reading. Reader's digest just seemed so interesting with lots of facts, just got to know my star sign is no longer Sagittarius but Ophiuchus. How can i miss all that information, guess i will start reading once i have the time in camp instead of stoning on my bed like i always do once i have the free time.
Other then reading, completing the Bourne Series for a straight 6 hours was also a achievement. Friends around have been talking about how good the show is but i just didn't bothered to catch it. All i have to say is the 6 hours was very well spent. =p
Here i am dipping Oreo in milk, waiting for a moment that i will feel sleepy.
Feeling : Hyper!!!

Its a Friday! Woke up in the morning to realise my PS course is finally over, seriously over!!
Practically did nothing for the whole day, watching youtube videos slacking my time away. Felt that my time is just wasted away, its only my first day of break and i have nothing to do. Thats bad, real bad. Got to figure out a way to minimize time wastage, dedicating useful and enriching stuff to do during this weekend.
Met up with Dear for dinner at Thai Express, it was my first time dining there. Look dear another of my Di Yi Chi just for you. =p The main course was nice but it was not special enough for me to willingly fork out my money, guess dear has the same sentiments. When i thought it may not be such a wise choice to dine here, the dessert and drinks just brought my interest back again. The watermelon lime juice was great, a concoction of 2 different ingredients that blended perfectly together, it will be such a great drink if i am tanning in Sentosa. Haha! Next will be the red bean dessert with a scoop of coconut. Well it looked more like a bowl of coconut ice cream instead of a scoop, the serving for this is huge! It was a familiar taste, what my dear said was it tasted similar to Potong ice cream. To me it was slightly better, small pieces of coconut can be found in the pearly white ice cream, topped up with some kind of a red bean paste. But warning! Try to get a partner to share this delight because you may get sick of it real soon, it may be too sweet for some. Hehe
Ending this entry with pictures taken during dinner.
Boo!

Dear with her Watermelon lime

My blog entries seems like its updated only monthly. Anyway my PS course is finally going to be over. During this darkest moments of mine there have always been one person there for me. Our relationship have also gone into a further stage, a triple digit relationship. =p All i want to say is i really appreciate every SMS you sent to encourage me through, the effort you made in finding time to meet me during my short weekends and that you will always cheer me up when my mood is down. Love you dear!

Times when we had fun..

Times when we were feeling bored..

Times when you just look so cute..

And times when you look like you are going to kill me =p

Guys i'm back to blogging again, maybe a weekly affair or even a monthly affair? =p
Life have been hectic in camp, tons of prep work to be done for different training programs. The only break i had recently is the CNY period which i really felt how it feels to be a civilian again. I cant wait for ORD.... Wahaha!
Anyway CNY celebration was great, met up with my secondary friends for house visiting. I could say i was the 'hired' photographer of the day. Taking countless candid shots of them having fun in different situations. Its amazing how time flies, we have actually known each other for a solid TEN years! I could still remember how we got together in the old school compound of ours a decade ago. Strangers at that time, great buddies in the future.
This collage here is done to celebrate our 10 years of friendship.

Ok guess i'm done with my entry for this week. The rest of this post will only consist of photos i took. =p
