As usual i booked out of camp on friday and got home, hoping and dreaming about the future camera i'm about to get - Canon Powershot S5 IS. While relaxing infront of my laptop, i got a sms from Foo~ The Gst cash in banked in!! Without futher thoughts i decided to get my camera the next morning.
Woke up feeling refreshed, i made my way down to Funan right after my breakfast. It seemed that the retail price of the camera is $799 but i'm only prepared to pay below $720 for it. Randomly walking in any shop that holds camera, the best offer i got was $749 until i chanced upon Bally Photos. They offered $705 for it, by then i knew this was the place i was going to get my desired camera. Continued walking around the area when i was waiting for Foo, i found another shop that offered even a lower price of $700. Coincidently they just sold their last set to a customer. Oh well, anyway i have long decided to get it from Bally Photos. Made my way back to Bally and got my PowerShot that i have targetted for so long~ Although i was prepared to pay $705 for my set, i decided to try my luck to push the price to $700. Yeah~ The guy agreed but i had to pay by cash. All right then, i just have to walk down to draw the cash while they take a new set from the store. $700 cash drawn from the ATM seems to have emptied mybank account. Its alot of money but i didn't have second thoughts of spending it.
Right after my expensive shopping trip, i met Net and Xian at harbourfront for another round of shopping~ Haha, but this time its not for me. I'm far too broke to spend any more. Since i arrived earlier then expected, i went up to the open space of Harbour Front to test my camera, it felt so alien to me unlike the Powershot S2 that i have handled before during my poly project days. After a few rounds of random shooting, i went to meet them when they reached. Net also had a very expensive shopping day. Haha!
I don't know why but i have been feeling hungry easily recently. Stopped by at a shop to share a blueberry cheesecake and apple struddle with the rest. The cheesecake was suprisingly tasty but the apple struddle was not really up to my expectation. Oh nevermind, at least it filled our stomach a little before dinner. We made our way to Marina Square shortly after our short makan break to meet the rest for dinner.
Reaching MS, there was quite a crowd heading towards Esplanade. Maybe the NDP preview was the reason for this crowd. Too bad we had already booked our movie tickets for Transformer or
we will join this crowd to see some fireworks too. Hehe. Dinner was at Jack's place, quite awhile since i entered this resturant, think its been at least 10 odd years. Ordered a medium rare T bone steak since its more filling then the rest. I was a little shocked when i saw the size of the steak, it covered the whole plate. Haha! My steak was slightly overcooked then medium rare while Net's was a little undercooked. Nevertheless i still enjoyed my steak. It definitely tasted better then the one i ordered at Westmall food junction. We had to hurry a bit since we are rushing for time.
Transfomer was better then expected, hilarious plot with great graphics on the robots. The only complain i have about the movie is the fighting scenes between the bots, on some instants i could only see moving metal on the screen. The next thing i know, one of the bots have already been knocked down. Overall its still a movie worthed to watch. = )
