All just a dream..??
Its Deepavali today!! Met up with Net to visit Istana. Alright i know, everyone is giving this (-_-)? face when i said it. Guess its always interesting to explore places we never been before. We had to go through a security check before we could get in, as usual i will always pass the metal detector gate even with my belt on. =p The first impression of that place is its freaking huge, its looks like some golf course and its a never ending walk in. Once we got to the building itself we made a U-turn because to go in we had to pay a entrance fee, both Net and me decided we didn't want to spend the money so we headed back to PS. Hehe~
At PS we had a light meal at Burger Kings. The French Chicken burger is damn nice! You will have to try it if you have the chance, its definitely satisfying.. Mmmm~

Haji lane was our next stop, Our main aim was actually to dine at a cafe that sells Egyptian cuisine but it don't really look very appealing. Instead we headed to Alaturka for turkish food. Both Net and I agreed that there was a homely taste present in the dishes we ordered, the spices taste is not too overpowering and yet it covers the smell that lamb meat normally has. The ambience and deco of the place gives a comfortable feeling to diners too. Only complain we had was the wrong choice of music, there was this instant that the music played was so sad we almost didn't have the appetite to continue eating. Haha!!

To end the day i visited the house of my BMT section mate Harvin. Its been a long time since our section got together and today was a great chance to meet up. Through this visit i realised something, i cant drink!! Haha~ Really felt so sick during the train ride home.

Its been some time since i've updated. Reason is simple, i just returned from a country feared by most NS men. By now most of you guys should have a idea of where i went to, BRUNEI!! Unlike Taiwan, no one actually looked forward for this trip. On the night of departure all of us are reluctant to move away from family and friends, knowing that 3 weeks of grueling and torturous training is waiting for us.
The airport looks as if its not maintained for a long time, guess the reason behind it is because hardly any tourist will want to come for a visit unless its a business trip. Looking at the night sky i could see a view which cant be seen in Singapore. The sky is full of stars but this was the only night where i could see this, every other night it was just pitch darkness.
So days passed and the long awaited RnR finally came. Well none of us were looking forward to the RnR too, the only reason we did is because we knew its finally time for us to go home!! Other then the Museums and Mosques, the only other place we could visit is the Mall. Oh my~ Its such a BORING place!! Luckily for us there was a cinema where 3/4 of it is filled by us. Stardust was the movie i watched there, believe me its a great show not to be missed. Well, any other time of the RnR we will either be walking around the Mall or stucked in some net cafe surfing the net. And trust me, any mall in Singapore will easily win the mall in Brunei~
